Location of Physics Department

As of January 2014, the Physics Department has moved to the new Physical Sciences Complex, which is located at the corner of Regents Drive and Stadium Drive. Upon entering the main (North) campus entrance at Route 1 and Campus Drive, take the left lane towards the "M" circle. Take the first exit off the circle onto Regents Drive. Then, turn left at Stadium Drive.

Parking on Campus

Visitors use the parking meter system called PAY STATIONS located at several areas on campus. The closest to the Physical Sciences Complex is Regents Drive Parking Garage.
For visitor lots, click here.

Paint Branch Visitor Parking Lot: Upon entering the Main (north) entrance to campus from Route 1, stay in your right lane, which will force you onto the first right, Paint Branch Drive. Go straight, pass the Jeong Kim Engineering Bldg. on the left, and at the second stop sign make a left and then an immediate right into the Paint Branch Visitor Parking Lot. Paint Branch Drive Visitor Lot is a 187-space surface lot located near the A.V. Williams, Animal Science, and Agriculture/Life Science building.  Thirty of the 187 spaces are reserved for permit-holding faculty/staff members and the remaining 157 spaces for visitors.

Regents Drive Garage: Upon entering the Main (north) entrance onto Campus Drive from Route 1, get into the left lane to continue straight. At the circle bear right onto Regents Drive and turn into the first right which is a Restricted parking lot outside our building. Approximately 20 visitor parking spaces will be assigned by the Fieldhouse Drive entrance to Regent’s Drive Garage. When you park, make note of your parking space number to enter into the machine and follow its directions.

Pay Stations: Machines accept credit cards or cash using $1, $5, or $10 bills.  It DOES NOT GIVE BACK CHANGE!! Do NOT put in a $20 for all day because it is NOT refundable from the Transportation Services Office.  When you've selected your payment options, the screen will indicate to please wait, and then give you the option to print a receipt, press OK to receive receipt.  We will need that receipt if we are reimbursing you.  (You do not need to display receipt in your car.)

If I have given you a validation number, your parking will be directly charged to our account.  At the pay station, select All-Day Parking, then choose (on 2nd screen) 5+ hrs with Validation, and enter the Code Number I provide you. I will need the receipt.   (You do not need to display receipt in your car.)

For parking in lots, refer to this map.  Pay station parking is preferred during daytime hours.
