Title: physics from lower dimensions

Abstract: Recent years have witnessed impressive progress in the direct numerical study of quantum many-body systems in real-time, from first principles. I will present my perspective on how these methods, combined with insights from quantum information science and the promise of quantum advantage, offer exciting opportunities to learn more about relativistic quantum field theories and how they pave the road to better understanding relevant phenomenology of real-world, 3+1 dimensional theories such as QCD. I will exemplify this view by presenting some of my recent work.
