Professor Sylvester James Gates (Physics) gave a lecture at the Symposium, QCD and Strings: Elements of a Universal Theory, in Oberwölz, Austria, August 29, on “Mathematical Foundation for Spacetime SUSY Representation Theory.” He delivered a presentation, “Beyond the Standard Model” at the African School of Physics’ First Biennial African School on Fundamental Physics and its Applications, August 10, held at the Stellenbosh University, Matieland, South Africa. Gates also delivered a talk entitled “Beyond Hierarchies to Networks” at the 2010 Mali Symposium on Applied Sciences, University of Barnako, Mali and met with the Prime Minster and Minster of Education of Mali regarding development of education and science.
