James Gates was quoted in the New York Times, November 24, in an article about the one-handed touchdown catch by Odell Beckham at the Giants vs. Dallas Cowboy game, November 23. “…It’s the gyroscopic effect. It means the ball will likely stay on the same line, and that makes it easier for the human eye to see where the center of the ball is headed, which makes it easier to catch.”
